1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Muscle & Miles Moving Co. ("Muscle & Miles," "we," "us," or "our") website and moving services. By requesting a quote, booking a move, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Services
Muscle & Miles provides residential moving, commercial moving, packing and unpacking, storage coordination, and specialty item handling services. The specific scope of work for any move is defined in the written estimate or agreement provided to the customer prior to the scheduled move date.
3. Estimates & Pricing
We provide written, flat-rate estimates based on the information supplied by the customer, including inventory, distance, access conditions, and any specialty items. Estimates are based on the accuracy of information provided; undisclosed items, inaccessible locations, or significant changes in scope on move day may result in a revised quote communicated to the customer before work continues.
4. Booking & Cancellation
A move is confirmed once a customer accepts a written estimate and, where applicable, provides a deposit. Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, disclosed at the time of booking.
5. Liability & Claims
Muscle & Miles carries insurance coverage for items in our care, custody, and control during a move. Any damage claims must be reported in writing within 7 days of the move's completion. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the valuation coverage selected by the customer at the time of booking. We are not liable for damage to items packed by the customer unless caused by our crew's direct negligence, nor for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or items of extraordinary value not declared in advance.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for accurately disclosing inventory (including hazardous, illegal, or extremely fragile/valuable items), ensuring reasonable access to pickup and delivery locations, and being present or designating a representative at both ends of the move. Muscle & Miles is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate information, restricted access, or third parties (e.g., building management, elevators, permits).
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept standard payment methods disclosed at booking. Deposits, where required, are applied toward the final invoice.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
9. Information We Collect
When you request a quote, contact us, or book a move, we may collect personal information including your name, email address, phone number, moving dates, pickup/delivery addresses, and any details you provide about your move. We also automatically collect limited technical information (such as browser type and general usage data) when you visit our website.
10. How We Use Information
We use the information you provide to prepare estimates, schedule and perform moving services, communicate with you about your move, and improve our services. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to providing and supporting our moving services without your consent.
11. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who support our operations (such as our form-processing provider), and only to the extent necessary to deliver our services, or when required by law.
12. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.
